Integration with Biometric Attendance Devices

Description

• Needed to connect to several biometric attendance control devices, which required a Windows machine and specific software to download and sync records.
• Implemented the devices’ TCP/UDP communication protocol in JavaScript to create a CLI and a RESTful API.

Project Outcome

Enabled the HR administration system to communicate with these devices to download attendance records and also to manage the devices. This hack saved us several thousand dollars.
